WHEAT OR LUPINS - WARNING. Science from the wheatbag lab.
Part 1



For thousands of years the lore of wheatbags was cloaked in mystery. Here at The Australian Wheatbag store we have conducted hundreds (literally hundreds) of wheatbag experiments all designed to determine Wheatbag Science! While we are still processing the mountain of wheatbag data, we will be sharing some of the findings from our Wheatbag Science Lab.


In this experiment we compared how well our great quality wheat performs versus lupins. Each experiment uses three sensors; inside (core) the wheatbag, outside (surface) and just under the skin (subcutaneously) ...ouch! What can what can we say, we are dedicated to our product ! As you can see from the plot above, wheat heats up much better and holds heat much better than the lupins. We knew it already, of course, but there is nothing like good old hard evidence to prove our point J.

WARNING: Lupins can kill when ingested.
Wheat is by far safer and more effective alternative.

There is also a claim made, that Lupins in heatpacks do not smell.
In our tests we found that not only Lupin heatpacks smell when overheated, but the stench is quite foul. Its an organic, heavy, foody odour. Certainly more unpleasant that an overheated wheatbag.
One more heatpack myth by poorly informed, unprofessional people.

New Hot Lot of New Cuties!



Meet Ted & Tammy, our new super cute wheatbags with personality! We will sell them in new colour schemes at the Royal Adelaide Show from 4th-13th September. Come and say hi at stand B49, Jubilee Pavilion, roughly the same area as we have been in now for the last 7 years. Do not forget the Show is extended again to include the second Sunday as well!


The Teds & Tammys are made from cosy corduroy material, have button eyes and mouth, a little bow tie a tummy full of love and two toned ears. We don`t think they could get any cuter! The buttons are made from wood and coconut and are fine in the microwave. However, as they are NOT a toy, we recommend you do not give them to children. They have so far taken the world with a storm and we are struggling to keep up with demand. So get in quickly before we run out! The Teds & Tammys are not yet available online but you can always ring us (see number below) to make a purchase if you ca not come to any of these upcoming shows.
